The year 2008 has proved to be a very successful year with the contributions of my 13 departments. 
Madina Degree College was established in the year 1994 .

The college also conducted Beautician Course in collaboration with Setwin and Certificate course in Gender Human Rights in collaboration with Asmita Resource Centre for Woman and bridge course in the subjects commerce, biotechnology, nutrition and microbiology.
Today I would like to thank our Secretary, Mr. K M Arifuddin ,Madina Group of Institutions who has inspired us, guided us and supported us in every way for a successful academic year.
Some of the achievements of our college for This year were our Student Ms. Shaila of B.Sc II year topped Andhra Pradesh in the All India Essay Writing Competition. on Sir Syed Ahmed: A Legendary Educationist & Social Reformer of Modern India conducted by Aligarh Muslim University
She was awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 5,000.

A NSS Unit was sanctioned by Osmania University for Madina Degree College for the academic year 2008-09. At about 180 students of B.Com and B.Sc have enrolled as NSS student volunteers. A 10 day Special Camp was conducted at Himayathnagar Slum near avanthi Nagar with 45 NSS student volunteers. in which right from sweeping the roads to white washing the wall, free medical check up for the woman and children, free distribution of medicines, awareness program related to cleanliness of domestic animals, importance of nutrition, skits on various issues of disease like malaria, dengue etc., cleanliness of water and a film Tare Zameen Par was screened for the children.
Various other competitions like painting, essay writing, elocution, quiz , mehendi and hairstyle competition, etc. and sports competitions were conducted where all our students actively participated.
The College Office Administration headed by Mrs. Aliya , Mrs. Faqar, Mrs. Rajitha has made the accounts and administrations records perfect and ready to use any time
The college lab Assistants and the Office Assistants have helped the departments in carrying the things effectively and efficiently.
To appreciate the work of the departments the college also introduced this year The Best department awards and the two best departments of this year are the department of Nutrition and the department of Zoology.
We have also started our college monthly online magazine in collaboration with Deccan Chronicle. The online magazine can be viewed at www.papyrusclubs.com. The name given to our online magazine is Evergreen Youth. The students can contribute articles for the same.
Today I would like to thank and congratulate my whole team of teaching and non-teaching staff for the successful year 2008-09.
And last but not the least I appreciate the work of my Assistants Mrs. Shama and Ms. Nazeen who have helped me a lot in carrying out all the activities.
