Importance of Zoology
Zoology is the branch of biology that deals with the study of animals. The study of Zoology comprises of all aspects of animals such as their habits, structure, functions, their aspects a systematic approach to the subject is needed. Therefore various branches of zoology are recognised. There branches deal with specific fields of subject and can be tken up for research.

Programme Offered:
The department offers an Undergraduate programme entitled B.Sc., Zoology & Biotechnology.
Eligibility :
Students who have completed the Higher Secondary Examination of the AndhraPradesh State Board or its equivalent with Biology/Zoology/Microbiology/Biotechnology and Botany.
Laboratory :
We have two spacious well equipped zoology labs. We have microscopes, slides, specimens, wax trays, dissection specimens, shemicals, test tudes, pipettes, burettes for various laboratory activities as the university standards.
Library :
We have a spacious library with large number of books. They are easily available for the students to borrow and return. Our library is well furnished for students to sit and study. We have good librarian who can guide the students.
Activities of Department :
We invite eminent personalities for guest lectures to throw light on cetain important and latest topics to enhance the knowledge of the student. We often conduct seminars for students so that they can come out with their inborn talents and excel in their subjects.
